As a professional Licensed Massage Therapist, I am committed to upholding the standards of the Code of Ethics set forth by Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals.

Please read below for important policies. If you have any questions, please email me.

Cancellation & Rescheduling

Please provide 48-hour notice when canceling your appointment. You can choose to receive text and/or email reminders to remind you of your appointment.

There is a $50 cancellation fee for any cancellations made within 24 hours. Any cancellations within 4 hours will be considered a no-show and you will be assessed the full cost. Any cancellation-related fees must be paid before you may reschedule your next appointment. I understand that life happens and in special circumstances might waive all or part of the cancellation fees, especially if you reschedule. Thank you for your understanding!

Excessive Cancellation

If a client cancels at least 3 sessions without giving a reason or due to schedule conflicts, I may terminate the relationship with that client. I am not eager to employ this policy but I have it in order to protect my time. It’s mainly just a recognition that our schedules do not align well and that we would both be better served by not working together. You by finding a massage therapist whose has more or different schedule availability and me by maximizing bookings within my available hours.

Confidentiality

All forms and conversations are kept confidential. Digital records are stored securely according with HIPAA regulations.

Right to Refuse Service

Therapeutic massage is non-sexual in nature and any behavior intended or construed to be of a sexual nature is inappropriate and grounds for immediate termination of the session.

Both practitioner and client have the right to end a session at any point if the situation feels unsafe for any reason. Examples could be inappropriate sexual advances, undisclosed medical conditions that are contraindications to massage, or sudden onset of illness.

This is highly situational, so we will discuss and resolve issues of rescheduling, payment, or other logistics as appropriate.

Illness

If you are feeling ill, please cancel and reschedule. Massage therapy can exacerbate flu- or cold-like symptoms, and the close contact could spread the illness. If we begin the session and I assess that you are too ill for us to safely continue, I may end the session.

Additionally, I will cancel our session if I am too ill or injured to proceed. I will give you as much notice as possible and assess no cancellation fees if it is short notice.

Payment

Payments are made at the time of service by credit card, Venmo, personal checks, or cash. Payment by credit card will include a 3% convenience charge.

Gift Certificates

Gift Certificates are available here. They are non-refundable and never expire.

You can purchase a gift card in any amount, but please be aware of the price of the service you wish to gift. If the gift card does not fully cover the cost, the recipient will be responsible for the remainder.

Medical Treatment

Massage therapy is not a substitute for medical treatment and does not provide medical assessment or diagnosis. Massage may be contraindicated for certain symptoms or conditions and it may be necessary to refer you to a physician or another healthcare provider. It is your responsibility to provide accurate information and inform me of any updates to your health status.
